NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska officials are reminding tree growers about some challenges associated with the state's drought conditions. The Nebraska Forest Service says it will host several workshops in January that will touch on issues ranging from watering practices to identifying common insect and disease problems. There will be an emphasis on dealing with the drought's effects on trees and shrubs. The workshops are developed specifically for public works employees, landscape managers, tree board volunteers, arborists and green industry professionals. The workshops will be held throughout January in Chadron, Scottsbluff, Sidney, Valentine, North Platte and McCook.
