 Hi, I'm Marsha Raye and it's my privilege to host the Focus 1260 show Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:20pm on Country 1260.
This is a great job that allows me to visit with guests from all walks of life about their interests in a wide-ranging list of topics.
This is a second career for me after 39 years in the classroom as a language arts teacher. When I decided to take early retirement, this opportunity presented itself and I took the bait...hook, line and sinker, as they say.
I love radio; it's always been a part of my life. As a youngster, I remember listening with my grandmother to the afternoon shows, including "The Neighbor Lady" on WNAX and all of the soapoperas. We always, of course, listened to "Friday Night Gillette Blue Blade Boxing Matches."
The focus of "Focus 1260" is to bring interesting people and ideas to the attention of the listeners. Information is a valuable tool and this is just one of the many ways to share new hobbies, careers, community activities, personal development, areas of concern and other interests with our listeners.
I'm a person who likes variety in my life; visiting with and listening to so many guests is just a wonderful way to learn new and different things all the time.
